Its the 23rd of October which means it is also the twenty-third day of Blogtober! Today I am answering my questions based on 22nd October.

What made me feel enthusiastic today?
I felt enthusiastic about getting my curtain pole and curtains up today! It took a while to get the pole up and the curtains ironed but I am happy that it has been done. It makes such a difference to my living room!

What drained me of energy?
Ironing my new curtains drained me of energy. I was not expecting the task to take quite as long as it did and it seemed like the neverending task! I really think curtains should have a person that comes and does that for you for the price they cost!

What did I learn about myself today?
I learned that I am able to do things that I didn’t think I would be able to do (putting up a curtain pole…I’m so short!) so long as I think about what needs doing and how to go about it!
Mum r.i.p used to change her curtains regularly & in later years I took over. Lace curtains were a later addition moving between having them & not.
I definitely think I am turning into my mum & can remember 2 years ago before Christmas & my Gambian trip deciding to change them whew!!
I definitely agree with your comments.
Good on you!
Thanks! In my old house we had blinds but I always missed curtains! They seem to finish off a room nicely and make it feel so cozy! Xxx
When mum moved to a bungalow with diamond leaded windows one of the first jobs she did was get clear panes installed and the conifers in front of the window removed. Later when moving to an apartment she got rid of the blinds, hated them.
I’m all for cozy Suzi, blinds too much like an office.
I love the cozy effect curtains have! My old house had blinds and the rooms never felt fully done, always like something was missing xxx
Need to feel cozy Suzy 🙂
Well done Suzi, you should take a photo to show us what they look like 🤣🦇
I will! They are lovely turquoise coloured! Xxx
Looking forward to seeing them😀💜
